Cardiff Blues Rugby
Cardiff is a famous name in rugby the world over. Playing at Cardiff Arms Park after a brief spell at the Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff Blues, formed in 2003, continue to draw a passionate support. Having previously always qualified for the Heineken Cup, Cardiff were unsuccessful qualifying for the inaugural European Rugby Champions Cup.
Originally playing in the traditional black and Cambridge blue of Cardiff RFC, the black was dropped in recent years to give the Blues their own identity. The team has many current national Welsh players including Gethin Jenkins and Sam Warburton. Notable former players to wear the famous shirt are Matt Cockbain, Martyn Williams and even 10 caps from Jonah Lomu.
