Founded in 1879, Munster are a mainstay of Irish rugby. With a famously passionate support, The Red Army, Munster play at Thomond Park in Limerick. The famous supporters ensure there is a “sea of red” in the stands as they proudly wear the red and navy colours of the team. They compete in the Guinness Pro12 as well as the qualifying for the inaugural European Champions World Cup. The three crowns logo with a stag represents the three historic kingdoms of the Munster region.
Twice Heineken Cup winners in season 2005/06 and 2007/08 they also have won the Pro12 on numerous occasions.
The famous red jersey is currently supplied by adidas and is presently worn by players such as Peter O'Mahony, Paul O'Connell and Conor Murray. Previous famous players include Christian Cullen, All Black legend Doug Howlett and Keith Wood.
