The Raeburn 1871 Collection celebrates the iconic moment in rugby history when Scotland played England in the world's very first international rugby match at Raeburn Place in Edinburgh. It was the beginning of rugby's oldest rivalry which, in 1879, became the hard-fought battle for the Calcutta Cup. Scotland won that first encounter in front of a four-thousand strong crowd, but England took the win the following year, setting the stage for over 150 years of incredible rugby.
